Recap: Cardinals 3 Mets 2

The mets lost to the Cardinals 3 to 2 this afternoon at Rodger Dean Stadium

Key Info

  • R.A. Dickey got the start for the mets, allowing just one run off of three hits and also collected four strike outs.
  • The relief of John Lujan, Tim Byrdak, and Armando Rodriguez was strong, however Josh Stinson gave up two runs in his two innings.
  • Jason Bay had a strong day with two hits, and is hitting great so far with a .429 avg. so far.
  • Luis Castillo had a rough day with a failed tag at second base hurting his campaign for the highly competitive race at 2nd base.
